What is Functional Medicine?
Also called anti-aging medicine or regenerative medicine, functional medicine is a discipline that emphasizes patient-centered care, an integrative and science-based approach to medicine, and the assessment and treatment of underlying causes of disease.
Functional medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, functional medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.
All of our providers are board certified (or are currently pursuing board certification) in functional medicine.
In addition to their own self-motivated (and often extensive) studies, each of them has pursued formal training from the Institute for Functional Medicine and the American Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine.
